Wow! This is yet another story that doesn’t get the exposure that it deserves. I’ve read plenty of books that talk about this game but this is the first time that I have read press reports from the game. The outrage shown by the press and English football authorities is incredible.
I must agree as when I first got hold of the scrapbook, even though I knew the story, I was quite shocked by the strength of opinion. What also struck me was the contrast with the far more cheery views of the Italian side. I didn’t use all the cuttings from the scrapbook but have put the whole set up on flickr here http://www.flickr.com/photos/exiledinnewcastle/sets/72157594253149357/
